CAN Works is a subscription service that provides educational materials, staff and volunteer training and management materials, program operations and evaluation templates, checklists and guides, program administration support, and fundraising/development tips.
Getting started with developing new high-quality programs and services from scratch can be incredibly challenging and time-consuming.
With CAN Works, nonprofits, educators, and other education-oriented organizations can stop reinventing the wheel or rushing to get every piece in place on time and instead focus on building meaningful relationships while still delivering a well-designed program.
Our goal is for more organizations to be able to provide the high-quality programs and services they want in half the time and effort so more children, youth, and families who are striving to overcome a variety of barriers can begin to thrive.
Together We Can
Community Action Network (CAN) is a nonprofit organization located in Washtenaw County, Michigan.
CAN operates multiple community centers across the county, all located within communities with families who are striving to gain equal access to resources and opportunities. CAN envisions the closing of socio-economic gaps by providing educational and enrichment programs for children and teens, supportive services for families, and challenging systems rooted in racism and inequality.
In addition to ensuring our families have the support and resources they need to provide better futures for themselves and improve the communities in which they live, we are dedicated to assisting other organizations and educators by providing access to the same successful program procedures, materials, templates, and trainings we have developed in over 30 years of partnerships with our communities to ensure we can all effectively work together to create brighter futures.
